These high quality industrial electric hot plates are made in the USA and perfect for laboratory and industrial use. Also commonly used by bookbinders for heating brass finishing tools for leather.
Both units run on 115v. AC current. The 6" version has an aluminum top, 600 watts, and operates from 100 to 550 degrees F with a temperature dial mounted directly to the unit. The 8" version has a steel top, 1250 watts, and operates from 200 to 1000 degrees F with a temperature dial mounted away from the unit on the cord for easy access.
