These beautiful papers are handmade in France by Frederic Gironde, the new proprietor of the Ruscombe Mill. Sheets are 25% linen & 75% cotton, acid free, tinted with lightfast earth pigments. Frederic has done an outstanding job to continue in the tradition to produce some of the world's most outstanding handmade papers. Trained by Chris Bingham this line of papers replicate 19th & 20th Century acidic wood pulp based machine made papers. These Machine Age papers have been cold pressed to simulate the calendared finish of the originals, with a pleasant wove surface. Excellent for repairing or replacing missing endpapers, as well as text weight papers, and any other application where a toned high quality handmade paper is desired.
