Japanese Fine Art Papers
Here you will find TALAS' wide range of Japanese Papers (washi) specifically for Fine Art purposes. The primary fibers used in these papers are Kozo, Gampi and Mitsumata. Kozo are the most common Washi fiber and are known for their long and strong fibers. Gampi is the rarest of the three fibers and is typically the most expensive. Gampi papers are sought after for their crisp and almost translucent qualities. Mitsumata is shorter than Kozo fibers and produces a smooth sheet with beautiful tonalities. Picking the right sheet can be challenging, which is why we offer our Japanese Fine Art Tissues and Papers Sample Book.
