Heritage Clamshell MAX
Description
Maximum Strength. Archival First.
The Heritage Clamshell Max is our most robust clamshell enclosure to date — engineered for collections that demand superior structural protection without compromising archival integrity.
Built on the foundation of our trusted Heritage Clamshell Box, the Max version incorporates additional layers of B-flute corrugated board concealed within the upright walls and the floors of both the base and lid. This reinforced internal structure dramatically increases compression resistance, rigidity, and long-term durability, making it ideal for housing heavier, oversized, or high-value materials.
Designed as a practical alternative to a traditional Solander Case, the Heritage Clamshell Max prioritizes archival performance first and presentation second. While it offers a clean, professional appearance, its true purpose is protection — safeguarding books, prints, documents, portfolios, and artifacts from environmental stress, impact, and handling wear.
Key Features
- Reinforced walls with concealed Heritage B-flute layers for exceptional strength.
- Enhanced base and lid floors for improved load-bearing support.
- Archival-quality materials throughout; down to the adhesives.
- Acid-free and designed for long-term preservation and storage.
- Durable clamshell construction for secure, repeated access.
The result is a box that delivers the protective integrity of a high-end case, while maintaining the archival standards professionals rely on.
All boxes are 2-½" in depth and have an additional ½" margin on each dimension to allow for comfortable storage of standard size materials. For example the 11"x14" box has inside dimensions of 11-½" x 14-½" x 2-½"
