Horsehair Paste Strainer

These hand crafted traditional strainers are made in Japan of fine horsehair and bentwood. The horsehair's natural elasticity makes the strainer flexible and easy to use. Used for pressing various types of vegetable starch adhesives through to eliminate lumps. Approximately 16cm in diameter. Paddle sold separately.

Care & Use

Gently wash the front and back to remove resides. Do not soak in water for long periods. After use, wash, drain, and dry it in a well ventilated area with horsehair facing upwards. Do not hang-dry as this will cause water to accumulate on teh wood at the bottom and damage teh horsehair. Once dry wrap in newspaper or tissue paper and store in a dry space.
