Rick Gingher Paring Knives
Description
Description
Paring knives are an essential tool for bookbinders working in leather. These handmade knives are designed and made by Rick Gingher for Talas.
The knives are made from A2 Tool Steel, with a 63HRC hardness, mounted to a fine hardwood handle. The hard steel sharpens and holds an edge longer compared to other softer steel used in less expensive knives. Knives come fully sharpened and ready to use.
The unusual "Offset" design is sought after for its ease in paring the center of leather, and for getting into otherwise hard to reach places.
All dimensions are approximate
Handle length: 4.5"; Overall length: 8.5"; Offset height: 1.25"; Handle Width: 1.25"
