This soft, vegetable oleo-resin is a suspension of manelemic acid, amyrin, and maneleresene in a matrix of mixed, fragrant essential oils. Employed mainly for its plasticizing properties, it generally improves flexibility and adhesion of varnishes. Complete solubility can be attained in ethers, esters, and coal tar hydrocarbons; partial solubility in lower alcohols, ketones, chlorinated compounds and aliphatic hydrocarbons. 

Compatibility is high with oils and waxes, fatty acids, ethyl cellulose and cellulose nitrate, and likewise with a wide range of natural and synthetic resins.
