Description

Sumi-E is a unique paper. It has been designed specifically for the Japanese technique of Sumi-e painting, which is a form of freestyle brush painting. Sumi means black ink, and e means both path and painting. The papers high absorbency makes it ideal for brush painting, a rapid aesthetic in Asian drawing made by rapid and powerful executed brush lines. Also found to be popular for Cyanotypes by specific artists.
